"Hope Sessions” are ongoing at the Warrensville Road Community Baptist Church.
The goal of the sessions is to address the social, emotional, mental health, and academic needs of youth and their families.
Hope Sessions After School Program
Youth participated in our free 11-week after-school program. During this time, youth engaged in activities that fostered hope and promoted positive youth development through social emotional learning, leadership skills, confidence building, and essential life skills.”
Digital Journaling and Vision Board Session!
Youth created and presented digital and paper vision boards. They were encouraged to continuously update their boards.
Hope Peg Board/Cookie Decorating/T-shirt Design Session!
Youth identified issues that result in hopelessness for them and then linked those issues to actions that result in hope. Parents were invited to engage in the same activity. Hope board was shared with Warrensville Community Baptist Church congregation who prayed over identified issues. Session also included cookie decorating and a T-shirt design activity.
